Emily Irene VanCamp who initially was hoping to be professional dancer, became interested in acting after visiting her sister Katie in the making of the movie Ladies Room. When she started taking acting classes, Emily VanCamp was also able to get guest roles in television shows across Canada. Some of the shows that she had appeared in, besides other shows included: Are You Scared of the Dark? Radio Active and Dice. VanCamp made a breakthrough in his career when he got a role on the WB horror-mystery show Glory Days as Sam Dolan. The show was canceled after 9 episodes, despite glowing reviews and low ratings. Despite her May 12th 1986 birthday, the actress secured a role on Everwood with the character Amy Abbott.
